Hello..my name is Yousef Palms...I have always been around music...my father is a musician..he sing's,writes, and play's various different types of instruments..he was well known in my country..but we moved here and he didn't know this language..it was hard for him to support us and try to learn english and make it in the music business..as time went on he got jobs to play and sing..he always wrote and played instruments at home..and my dad did this all my life.

As far back as I could remember..at like three..I would dance and sing with my father while he's singing and playing the guitar..at like 4 or 5 years old my father took me with him to party's that he was performing at..and i would watch how everything's done...I would be hypnotized by watching how my father is plucking the guiter strings and by how the rest of the band played along with my father..it was amazing to me..I loved going..it was fun for me...I continued to go whenever there was jobs for my father.

At like 12 or 13..I started writing my own songs and started to D.J (making mixtapes and having local and unsigned artists from highschool and neighboring towns come to my house to record and make mixtapes)..During highschool i took drama and music classes..we did play's..sang songs..and learned theory. At like 15 or 16..I got my mixtape in the local music store ,and about 6 months to a year after that I got my fist club to D.J..during and after I graduated highschool I was recording and making music at a few different recording studios..in and around my area...I got myself into college and had one semister left and decided that I didn't want to be in regular college..so I dropped out ,and signed myself into a music school..I went to I.A.R (Institute of audio research) ,and graduated with top honors in the school. Before I enrolled in I.A.R..I had been buying different pieces of equipment with the thought in my mind to one day have my own recording studio..this is my dream..I started teaching record company owners and producers how to run and operate thier equipment while i was in school. I also interned for (Wu-tang) at Riza Razer Sharp Records in manhatten..I had my own little desk making phone calls..schedueling photo shoots..runing errands..taking out the garbage..and things like that...I also worked for W.K.T.U (103.5) in the promotions department. We D.J'd parties..set up equipment..gave out promotions (Tapes..T-shirts..stickers..etc.)..Put up W.K.T.U banners..and was very nice and courteous to people.

After I graduated school (I.A.R) my family and I ended up buying a one family home because the house we lived in was a two family and the neighbors downstairs and the neighbors next door kept calling the cops on me for loud music. We found a house that had the right structure to build a recording studio...so we bought the house. All along the way I was buying piece by piece the necessary equipment to build a state of the art recording studio...I also had to build the actual studio itself from scratch..I have sound proofed rooms..new electrical work..etc..The studio alone (structure wise) took me like 6 or 7 years to build by myself..I also custom made the wires themselves that connect the different pieces of equipment together...since I've completed the studio I've done work with local artist in the neighboring cities around me..I've had Lady Luck (a female rap'r who was signed with Def Jam Recordings) come to the studio and just freestyle (no recordings were made)..I also worked for W.B.L.S..Theres was a D.J that was on there called "Dashin Don"...who was at the studio and wanted me to write..produce and record the opening show for him..so I did..and he played me and a local rap'r (Nemises) that was comming to the studio on every morning for his opening show..I also did little snippets of my recording ,and just looped them so they continued for as long as he wanted them to be..and he used them in-between songs so he didn't have to come on the radio much..I will also send you those recordings along with shoutouts to me and my record label.. I been working with Sam Skaf from I.A.R.. he is a teacher at the music school that I graduated from..he helps me out here at my recording studio.. He help'd me with the recordings and mastering for my new album "I'm A problem". Sam..Jawad..Lisa and I worked on alot of songs that are already done..just waiting to be released..I've worked with Jawad Bohsina who is a professional keyboardist..he is on "Be Witchu"..Please LiL Momma...and on "I'm A Problem"...and Lisa Vitti (a professional singer) is on "Be Witchu".

I'm also in rotation at www.nilo-radio.com ...Im also being played on a (W.H.T.T) a little radio station..which is in North Bergen,New Jersey. I have my CD in 5 stores right now..in Supersounds in the Hudson Mall (jersey city,N.J)..Sound City (Bayonne,N.J)..Rinconcito Musical (Hackensack,N.J)..Yambao Records(Hackensack,N.J)..and on my website store at http://www.beheadrecords.com
